Michael Anderson is a Minneapolis native specializing in cityscape imagery from around Minneapolis and the greater Twin Cities area. Growing up in the city he now photographs, Michael brings an insider’s perspective to his work, reflecting a deep familiarity with city’s shifting light, seasons, and character. By day, he serves as a corporate videographer and photographer, blending storytelling with technical precision. His artistic work, however, reveals a more personal vision: moody atmospheres, crisp detail, and a reverence for the city in which he’s spent nearly all of his life.
Michael’s photography has been featured on the cover of Minnesota Monthly and twice selected for the Minnesota State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition (2024 and 2025). When he’s not behind the camera, he loves spending time with his wife and their two kids — an eight-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son — exploring the same parks, river paths, and neighborhoods that often show up in his photos.
